Have you ever noticed a chalta phirta ad (moving or walking ad)? NO!....OMG don’t tell me that. If you stay in a metro I can bet, you surely have! Well, you never saw MNC employees hanging around in the malls or in some public gathering?………they (not every MNC employee) are those ads. Haha! People, excuse me if you are one of them. Please don’t mind me for jotting something like this! Why these people like to hang their ID card around their neck with the flashing names like IBM, WIPRO, DELL, INFOSYS etc during off-office hours? I understand, when they are in their work place they have no exemption to it but I really failed to scrutinize the reason of hanging that extra credence around their neck inside a shopping mall or a public place…feels funny! I have been observing this from long but never discussed with anyone. When I see people roaming (sometime dating) they have their MNC tag hanged on them. Cities like Delhi, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad are more prone to it (sorry friends).... :P! I never thought I will put my observation (people hanging their ID card and roaming in the malls) in words but something more interesting happened which gave me an impetus to do so. While I was in a mall in Hyderabad suddenly I heard a sentence “let me see the bag which company she belongs to”…….a voice striked my ears! Well, it was the voice of a person who was struggling to see the name of the company imprinted on the bag (hanged on the shoulder of a girl who crossed in the fraction of seconds). Haha….yo, that’s the MNC culture! Knowingly or unknowingly this so called MULTI-NATIONAL’s have engulfed our perception.
Finally after all these gala time (:P) I decided to give a name for this prevailing phenomena. Don’t you think it will be unjust if this wide practice is left nameless? Hahaha….. Let us all join our hands and clap for the new name…SHOW-OFF ADVERTISING. Wow…perfect! If you want to be a part of this (show-off advertising) kindly don’t part your ID cards for a minute or so! Hang it when you go to a vegetable market or a fish market etc! CHEERS FOR THE NEW CONCEPT IN ADVERTISING SECTOR………LOL
